Merry Christmas, Happy 2006
my, its good to get away from the Lou.
i can't remember the last time that i had absolutely nothing to do. i used to spend winter breaks working at the lab or looking for jobs & internships....yup, none of that this time around.
highlights of the break, part 1
-bowling with justin, gomathie, jon o!, and mikey! our spin moves and left handed bowling rocked!
-hot tubbing at mike's with justin, chris, mike, and lindsay. and going to visit kristen in bed :)
-magnet christmas party at yigits! (including the "this is awkward" comment)
-movies galore: king kong, narnia, rat race, napoleon dynamite, dodgeball, oceans12, kill bills, star wars, kung fu hustle, home alone!
-christmas boredom x2 (mandatory family time)...although getting the new ipod is certainly exciting and i'm excited about exploring my new cookbook
-poker & movie night at allison's with matt, yigit, al, linds, and chris
-lots and lots of shopping
-dinner at the ex's house with eli and a bunch of jake's friends.....yeah def awkward (but coulda been worse)
-hangin' at Eli's with gomie, yigit, and chris while Eli recited HOme Alone in all of its entirity. OH E.
-going to The Dame to support Jacob IL's band: ZARDOZ . yeah, not exactly my type of music considering i couldnt understand a thing that vlad sang but Tucci was awesome on the guitar and Evan rocked those leather pants (lol!). saw so many people it was crazy. then the afterparty at Byron's where he was being "extra friendly" as usual while we tried to hide from him. Just like old times.
tomorrow justin comes again (he's bringing the new years eve party!) and then i'll be headin up to chicago for some WICKED fun (haha, i came up with a pun.) i'm so excited about staying downtown in the hotel and going for drinks at the signature lounge (oooh swanky) and ice skating outdoors and going snowboarding/skiing and....!
AND, tomorrow is also 1)lunch with my Morgan Stanley pal Ron, 2) fun with GSP folks (OH BEN!), 3) and DANCING with my girls downtown!
whew. typing about all this is making me tired...........
