oh boy, its been a while since the last update. this one's gonna be a long one!
GOODBYE CHICAGO
the last 2 weeks of interning/chicago was fun. work slowed down a ton which meant lots of slacking and walking around and socializing. There was alot of hanging out since it was the last weeks and all --- Indian, etc. food, lunches out, hanging, etc.
The Gams twins had a party at their gi-normous house (their dad is like VP of Investor Relations at Mot).

Blythe came to visit Tori so we decided to go out to a Euro dance club one night w. Reda, David, Will, Ben, and Erika. It was ... interesting! Ben was a gentleman and bought me drinks all night and there was dancing and some creepy old dudes and DRAMA but fun nonetheless.
Had a retarded waitress at Grill 21 who pretty much begged us for more tip $ even tho we gave her a decent amt and then came chasing after us to say that we only gave even less than what she said the first time........what a loser.
Nicole came into town to visit Gary so we had our final On the Border dinner after happy hour with our mentors.
Took off early on Thurs with Justin and went to the Chicago Art Institute. Also went to the Museum of Science and Industry on Friday after work to see their Body World exhibit. It was pretty intense....lots of ... bodies....w. muscles and nerves ripped everywhere......including this pregnant lady and her baby.....and a giant horse.......
The last day of work was sad....Sojo was in deep denial....said goodbyes and gave hugs and what not...even got an email from Bob Parker wishing me luck! and a "BYYYYYE MICHELLE" yelled by Dennis Strand (CFO of Mobile Devices) even tho he was on the phone as I walked by on my way out. *tear* It was a hella fun summer.

Drove down with Justin on Saturday, after a brief visit in New Lenox with his mom/aunt/uncle/cutest cousins/friend Dan (aka "wes"). Yay for Indiana changing all their speed limits to 70! Its so great to be home........my parents/James are being uber nice and dad is in a greeeeatt mood (i.e. bought new giant plasma screen TV....new furniture....offered me money for school..........etc.)
Ate dinner w. the fam and then Goms and V came over and scared Justin a lot. We all headed over to Jacob's for his party thing and saw a bunch of "seniors" (ie. Jacob, Mike, Kleinert, OLINGER!, Jon Villines, Byron, Christie, JK...the *ew* couple that looked alike.....etc etc. oh yeah, and some dumb dog.) Hung and chilled and learned to play Hockey (we sucked) and Mike Speigel and Matt Tynan both came by and it became a mini-reunion!
Sunday....hmmmmm.........slept? and went to Jacobson park w. J and J (ha.) and played football and frisbee and what not and got icecream and watched Hotel Rawanda w. my fam. It was slightly depressing, but good.
Monday....(how does my memory suck so bad?)......might have been lunch at Schlotzkies (i have NO idea how to spell that) with v, leslie, spiegel, and chris. then we invited ourselves over to moira's new apt and hung w. her and reminisced about the good ol' MSTC days while watching the slideshow for a few hrs.......i love my magnets! saw caroline play at common grounds' open mic w. some ppl and had the whole confusing thing w. dev's girlfriend about michelle/rochelle...oh yeah and tried desparately with no avail to avoid a certain Jeff Wei. thanks for leaving me hangin guys. came back and watched Saw with J and mom.
Tuesday....yeah i duno. i remember walking around the neighborhood barefoot and coming home with the dirtiest feet so we had to crawl like retards upstairs to my bathroom.....ooh i think thats when V came over and watched The Jacket (w. Adrian Brody/Keira Knightingly) with Mom and J. It was alright......but mostly inappropriate. Had my "third date" with the boy downtown at Cheapside which was fun. Met up w. V at Charlie Browns and drank a pitcher of White Russian which was also fun. Leslie's party plans kind of fell through so we went downtown and walked around Triangle Park a bit and it was romantic until bums starting sitting right next to us....
Wed....drove Justin to Louisville for his flight. I was slightly too tired to be sad at the airport but it kinda hit me on the drive home. fixed my car for like 4 hours w. my dad and got incredibly sweaty and greasy. v came over and we hung on my bed and talked. i love u v!
Thurs.......picked v up at the car place and went to get my liscense renewed (no more "this looks like a library card/fake")....except after waiting in line for half an hour, they revealed that they needed my stupid passport so i had to go back home to get that. went to lunch at chipotle's with doug, mike, megan rolfes!, meaghan, v, and tiggs which was a lot of fun and a bunch of laughs, esp over doug's vibrating rat. or whatever that ball of fur was. came home and fixed the car with dad for another 4 hours ........i was finally allowed to stop at like 10:30. it sucks, but hopefully w. all these new engine parts, it will stop burning oil like crazy! needing to escape the parentals, v & i went to Kitty O'shea's for some drinks/talking about stupid boys for a couple of hrs.
Friday....was new glasses w. James followed by an awesome trip to FRANKFORT to visit our favorite GSP boy BEN HAMPTON!
I forget just how much i love the boy. and that he's cousins with halle berry. thats right....they go shopping at walmart for socks together....and now that "halle just got a house in malabu", ben might go there after graduation!

V&i drove back and went to dawhares for some KY gear for me since Justin stole my getting lucky in kentucky shirt. helped dad w. the car (what else is new). but we finished pretty early (i.e. 9pm) and went to common grounds for caroline's own show! mini-magnet reunion again, this time w. jacob, john, mike, kleinert, jones, byron, etc. good show and afterwards we all went downtown to McCarthy's for drinks. the damn place was PACKED. it was fun tho and after some jacob playing w. tampons in his hulk t-shirt, we decided to move the party back to their place. there was some talk of getting a drinking basketball game started but that never worked out........kleinert called gomathie at one point and left a msg saying "gomathie, for a sri lankan, you are DAMN HOT". ha! vy got reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaallly drunk and was hilarious (sorry babe, i love u :)) finally made it home by about 5:30. yeah.
so now everyone is leaving me and i'm home for 1 more week until STL and 1 more week until Justin comes down again!
