AUGUST.

To echo v...wow. is it really AUGUST? This whole summer has been a blur. Since the last update:

--went to the White Sox game against the Tigers (right? i dont' even know). It was fun, even with the 1 hr rain delay. No free beer this time on the bus or at the game, but we DID look super cool in our shirts.

some of us during the rain delay

--took off work that Friday and headed down to DeKalb(aka corn fields in the middle of nowhere, IL) Thursday night. Met up at some bar w. Justin's friends Kim and Megan and just chillaxed. They were super fun

--Drove down to St. Louis Friday. Went to the Cards vs Cubs baseball game at Busch stadium. (My 3rd baseball game this summer!! Bringing my overall lifetime total to....3!) It was a fabulous game, except for the fact that it was 100 degrees (literally) outside AT NIGHT and it felt like we were sitting in a sauna and people were sweating and stinking. Had the best beer of my life that cooled me off for a mighty 15 minutes. Cards won, of course, b/c they are infinitely better than the cubs :)

see, we were sweatin like crazy

read Harry Potter like nerds all day saturday while it was 104 degrees outside (heat index of 125).

went to this greek place for dinner with cynthia, heather, and justin and had some funny banter with our waiter who thought we were all 17-19 years old and decided not to card us.

met up with Seta and her new boy Nathan and then Jen, Matt Rischall, and Eli at BlueHill for some drinks and just hanging out which was chill. Then Matt/Eli left and we all drove over to the Landing and went to Morgan Street for more drinks and sweaty sweaty hot dancing, followed by early morning white castle (gross!) and bed.

drove back Sunday in Justin's crazy car whose AC decided to randomly turn off for dozens of minutes at a time while we sat in the sweltering heat. t'was lovely.

-- This past week was busy preparing for the intern presentations, which was Thursday and went super well. Too bad we have to present again to the CFO of Mobile Devices and his senior management team this Wednesday!

-- Saw Wedding Crashers Friday with some interns. Go see it, its hilarious!

--Went SAILING on saturday with Motorola! it was incredibly fun/cool, even w. my 15 minutes of intense nausea

our sailboat!

at sea

Oh Captain, My Captain

Me, Jen, Sarah, Amy

--After sailing, Justin and I walked to Grant/Millenium Park and just chilled underneath the trees and took naps for like 3 whole hours. it was intensely relaxing!

Later, met up Geoff and shared in relaxation time and then we all went to Weber Grill for dinner. Geoff left and we walked over to Navy Pier and watched fireworks and rode the giant ferris wheel at night and saw all the city lights. It was beautiful!

--Justin cooked me dinner last night!! I was sent to go clothes shopping (and shopping I did!) while Justin made the cutest dinner of all time (salmon, rice, and veggies) complete with wine, a candle, and rose! Gosh he's cute.

I can't believe that there's only 2 weeks left of Chicago! Its tragic! We still have so much to do -- the art institue and field museum and museum of science and industry and more partying w. stef and going dancing and ahhhhhhh i dont ever want to go back to school!

v are you still brainstorming? stef are you going to be home (lex) at all?
