U of Indiana is where Kinsey did his research and where the Kinsey Institude now is. Maybe they could use a linguist?

really? i always thought U of Indiana was like some lame-o school that everyone just SAID that it was good. i guess it really is good... hmmmmm...

haha- i would LOVE to work for the kinsey institute. that would be so awesome to freak people out. "what do you do for a living?" "oh, i talk about sex all day..."

It seems to me that every time I watch a special on PBS or TLC or Discovery, there are people from MIT and Chicago. Huge engineering and math schools respectively.

Honey, unless you were hardcore into PBS, I can count on one hand the number of specials you've watched on any of those channels.

You didn't watch Nova on PBS with my dad growing up.
It happened atleast twice a month

We read a paper on language development in developmental psyc today and we talked about language development and acquisition. Really interesting. You should research that. Because I think it's interesting and everyone knows you should base your entire career choice on my interests.

In all seriousness it was pretty cool. I guess that would be under psycholinguistics. We could collaborate?

yeah.. that's part of what I would want to do in psycholinguistics. I wanted to take a class on language in the psych. dept. here, but it was "discontinued" :( we SO should collaborate!

There's a ton of ways you could look at it...from developmental to perception...even sociological I imagine. I don't know what all psycholinguistics covers. We could have a TV show! I don't know what it would be about, but we could put Oprah away.
