Mara recently started trialing Kuvan. She's definitely on the young side for starting Kuvan, but I didn't want to wait any longer. Not everyone with PKU is a responder to Kuvan so it isn't like many meds where you take it and it just works. Apparently it depends on the type and severity of your specific PAH gene mutation.
