I think it's safe to say I had a dangerous amount of fun.

Yeah.  So Prom was fun.  It was at a huge stadium overlooking the city sky.  I think prom last year was actually better, though.  I can't explain why, it just was-- but I still had fun this year.  While driving out off tomandakaulitz's driveway, I shouted, "Don't worry!  We won't have the intercourse and take any of the extamasy!" to our parents.  Parents were like:  O.O

Danced a bunch, watched people dance (though sometimes I had to turn away because it was a little, um, vulgar), and even saw teachers dance.  All of the track girls and I took pictures in our dresses, posing like we were passing the baton to each other.  At one point, Amanda and I were by the window and we saw a few guys walking by below (returning from the baseball game.)  They noticed the party going on, so Amanda waved at them, at which point I started dancing for them like a goon.  They sent me back hearts.  I felt loved.  ♥  Indeed, Prom was fun, but the real fun happened at After Prom.

As soon as I got into the Water Resort, I saw the DDR machine, threw my bag in everyone's way, jumped on the machine, and started playing with my prom dress still on.  Well actually, when I got there, my friend Mia was on there with... Alicia, a girl who used to be my friend, but in '08, she went through my bag when I left the classroom, stole my E.D. journal, read it, and took it to the school counselor.  From that moment on... I still cannot explain how pissed I am about it.  I obviously stopped being friends with her, and luckily, this year she went to the Career Center, so face-to-face encounters were rare... and when they did occur, there was such obvious tension surrounding us-- it was very awkward.  Although I never did anything catty back, or said anything mean to her, I always emanated an feeling of, "Don't get near me ever again."  But, well, I was so excited to play DDR that I didn't really care that she was there.  I thought, "Now, let's be mature about this, Michelle.  Let's not act begrudgingly."  I decided to be civil and not a big hairy grump.  I asked her if the sensors on the platform worked well.  She said yeah.  She helped me figure out how to work the machine (I'm not well acquaintanced with them) and things were pretty agreeable.  No problems there.  It was just a bit awkward-- but there's no need for unnecessary drama.

DDR was so awesome!  And painful.  Very painful.  Just the metal... it's so uneven and I kept hitting my feet on the huge metal screws sticking an inch outta the platform.  Three songs into it, I stubbed my toe and it hurt like a biiiiiitch.  It gave me a big bruise, ready to burst forth in a bloody mess, but I kept going.  I was SO PUMPED when I saw a certain song on there.  It's a song that I've been studying on youtube for ages because it always looked so fun.  I knew almost all of the moves before I played it.  I've been dreaming of playing this song because it's just that awesome.  And this song would be... AFRONOVA by Re-Venge.  And it was every bit as fun as I thought it would be.  The song is just MAD on standard.  It's basically all a bunch of jumping all over the place.  Because of all the jumps, it's the only song that I really have to take huge, deep breaths while there's a steady stream of single arrows.  It's the only song that really kicks my butt-- even as an 800 meter runner!  Ah!  It's just so much fun!  It is officially my new favorite DDR song.  The chart is just so kickbutt, it's actually so much more fun on standard than on heavy.  It's just an awesome song and whoever created the chart needs to be given free sex.

I also discovered a new song that I am in love with.  Healing Vision on heavy.  SOOOO fun.  I PWNED that song up the butt!  B on the first try, A on the next.  Didn't get to AA, though.  Either way, I drew several crowds throughout the night, just like I've always dreamed.  I didn't realize I had a crowd until I finished a song and turned around to wipe of my sweat with my towel and I saw every one staring at me.  I got several challengers, but all of them were beginners, so it wasn't really a challenge.  XD

AFRONOVA-- Y'know, I feel a little less accomplished knowing a 5-year-old can do this song.  XD

Healing Vision-- Watching it on this video, I have no idea HTF I can even do that.  D8  The first part is killer.

Well, I basically played DDR from 12 until 3:30.  I wanted to keep playing, but my feet started to hurt too much.  I gave myself blisters!  Oh, but get this.  This is the worst:  I actually sprained my foot playing DDR.

Yes.  You read right.  I sprained my foot playing DDR all night.  As if I didn't have enough injuries already.  I got home at 6 am on Saturday night (um, Sunday morning; After Prom ended at 4:30 am-- you're not allowed to leave before then, coincidentally) and all that hurt were my blisters.  But when I woke up that afternoon, I couldn't move the toes of my right foot.  When I tried, it hurt like a MOTHERFATCAT and I honestly thought something was broken.  I knew immediately that it was something fairly serious and that I had to get it checked.  The good thing about schools sports is that if you get hurt, you don't need to pay a million dollars for the doctor's, you can just go see the trainer!  When I told her what I did, she was just like, "-__-U"  Turns out it's actually pretty serious.  I had to skip track and spend practice with her to do some foot exercises.  While I was sitting there, a dude, Jake (whom I saw at RTOC) came in and asked, "What'd ya do?  Too much DDR?"  And I was like, "Yeah.  :/"  And he said, "But you were totally burning it up on there!  I saw you, and you were amazing!"  His friend, Victor came in and said something akin to that.  In fact, all day today I've been getting compliments and, "Wow, you must have o life"s.  It's true.  I play too much DDR.  ;A;

It's a disease!

Anyhoo, I still can't move my toes (which is entirely frustrating), I don't think I'll be able to run Districts on Wednesday or Friday, and I have to do four foot exercises 6 times a day, ice 4 times a day, and take ibuprofen 3 times a day.

I'm so lame.  Who even sprains their foot playing Dance Dance Revolution?
Scratch that.  I know a girl who broke her leg on it... TWICE!

In conclusion:  Prom was fun, After Prom DDR was fun, I got that crowd I've always wanted, my foot is royally screwed up (hey, at least my knee and shins are OK), and... um, I'm getting my braces off on Thursday!  HURRAH!

/too lazy to spell check.  Please ignore all my mistakes.
