What I did today.

I think I just bought my last box of staples for home consumption. I'm not dissatisfied with staples or anything, it's just that I don't use them very often, and a box contains so, so many of them. A regular box has 5,000 staples. Let's be generous and hope I live another 50 years. That's 100 staples per year, or about 2 per week. Unless I seriously change my stapling habits, I can't keep up that pace. Looking back at my last 10 years, I doubt I've used 1,000 staples outside of work. If I had realized in the store that I was buying my life's box of staples, I would have been more careful in picking them out. I'm looking at the box now, and they look like good staples. No regrets.
