Early American Idol blather...
I know it's early and I really shouldn't do this.. but I've gotten attached to some of the AI contestants already. *sigh* Which means that it's probably the kiss of death for them, since all my favorites last season got bumped pretty damn early. Only Bo made it to the end and lost to the sweet but incredibly boring Carrie Underwood.
There's Taylor (the gray haired guy), who's got that Joe Cocker/ Ray Charles quality to him. He's very different, which is exactly why I like him and most of the tweenies won't.
There's Chris (the bald, goateed rocker dude), who's not a naturally beautiful singer, but once again it's that edge that interests me. Plus, he's married and just seems (so far) to be certain of what and who he is, which also attracts me.
Then there's Paris and Lisa who are both incredibly talented and sweet. Very marketable, just like Carrie.
I adore the 17 year old guy who croons like Sinatra and Buble, but I can't recall his name and they only showed him once last night with no caption. Mostly because I like that kind of music and well, he is cute.
Lastly, there's Garrett the tiny, cries like a baby, cowboy. He won't make it very far ( I think) but he sure is a little sweetie, if not a touch too overwhelmed by it all. I just want to pick him up and squeeze him. Or hold his hand until he stops shaking. *hee* Little goober.
