Another week gone by.

I'm Feeling:
groggy

I think this past week was the absolute longest one of my life. I can barely even remember what happened Monday at this point, because it feels like it happened about 5 years ago.

Also, on a completely unrelated note: Why did both facebook and LiveJournal decide to update their homepages on more or less the same day? Weird. Early spring cleaning, perhaps?

The last of the snow was finally gone from (my) sight today. Not that this means anything really in CT, especially around where I am, because sometimes we get snow (flurries, at least) into April. Ah, but I'm so ready for Spring. My threshold for winter usually only lasts into about the 2nd or 3rd week in February.

I had another observation today. She thinks I need to work on better closing my lessons. Jane was like, "Uh, sure" and told me (and I agree with her) that my classroom management is getting better and continues to build, but it's still my greatest weakness in the classroom. No matter, though. Things are going well and I am fairly confident that I am possibly even doing better than some people in the same position as me.

So. That was a total stream of consciousness.

And, as promised, here are some (of the more neatly-written) letters to the tooth fairy, with names withheld (and translations provided for those of you who can't read fluent 1st grader)...

Dear Tooth Fairy,
I hope you take my incisor. I've been brushing my teeth every day.
From,

Dear Tooth Fairy,
I want you to take my cuspid because I brushed and flossed and went to the dentist.

Dear Tooth Fairy,
You should take my incisors because I brush them twice a day. If you take my tooth, I will give you money with my tooth. I think you are nice. I really like you. If you do not want money, I will give you whatever you want. Except my toys.

I saved my favorite letter for last:

Dear Tooth Fairy,
You take my teeth. Take my incisors. I brush them the most.
From,

Gotta love it.

Also, because I'm damn proud of them, my first bulletin boards with student-generated work. I think they're adorable. (Note: They are panoramic shots.)

"We Are Lucky To Be Readers" and "March Weather: In Like a Lion, Out Like a Lamb!"

Our Room's Riddles: Can you guess the answers?
Ignore the fact that middle picture or left picture or whatever is a little oddly stitched together, please. I didn't want to stand in the middle of the hallway and take another when we were getting dangerously close to student arrival. :-P

pictures, student teaching, ramblings
