learning Japanese through song

I love Arashi for lots of reasons, one of which is for the beautiful songs they sing. I love to sing and cannot truly sing along until I learn Japanese. One of the frustrating parts about subbed/translated works are that they are rephrased in English word order which does not help someone who is trying to learn Japanese. For this reason I have

I agree. It would be useful if translations of this type were more widespread within the fandom. I think they'd be a great additional learning tool to the current lyrics/romanji/full translations, especially for people trying to get a grasp of the language.
It sometimes feels a bit disjointed singing along & then seeing the english translations of what you have just sung popping up in the next sentence on the screen (and then I know I'm not really learning anything).
The people who kindly translate, subtitle and karaoke videos must agonise sometimes over how to word everything and keep the flow going.
You've also started on one of my favorite songs; it's a wonderful anthem and I'd be happy to see some more if you continue and decide to post them here.

Wow - thank-you for commenting. I am so thankful for the subbing communities and their translations are for ease of comprehension and entertainment. My translation is for me to one day sing along as emotively as I can. It took me hours - really!!!. The next one I am thinking of translating is Breathless - because I love the emotive way Nino sings and want to sing with him.
