While this subject... act... in fic is not really up my alley (SO TO SPEAK, har har) I love that they can stay in character when you write them, especially Liz, whose interior monologue was laugh out loud funny in parts. Like, I had to stop for a couple moments just to appreciate the humor of this section:

Because she was understanding about him wanting to try this with her. Okay. Maybe she wasn't *entirely* understanding. Maybe the first time he brought it up she told him, "No. No. No. You're not serious. Okay. You are serious. And no. No. No."

And: "I assume you wouldn't say 'poop.'" "That is a bet I would not make if I were you. For a lot of reasons."

Seriously, Jack. For someone who says "poop" often enough in non-anus situations...

Also, the fact that Jack has sodomized Dick Cheney in this universe is ... is ... something ...

As always, I like this theme: And this is her trusting him and shouldn't she trust a man for once?

also, AHEM, I just thought you should know that your new tag-line thingy ("We're going to America") shows up on my tabs exactly like LJ's "We're sorry, that page is blah blah" and it is QUITE CONFUSING for me.

Just continuing the tradition of people complaining about the changes you make to your own journal. *g*

ha, it looks like that to me, too. It also looks weird to me because I usually don't capitalize my journal title, but it seemed off to be capitalizing America and not the first letter of the sentence. Or to not capitalize America. Because, you know, just because I think gay dudes should be allowed to adopt doesn't mean I don't love America.

Speaking of which, I'm surprised nobody was disturbed by the header change from Tina-and-Alec to Cast of Weeds.

For the record, I was saddened by the change to Weeds, but you are crazy Weeds lady lately, so it didn't surprise me.

Also the whole "it's your journal you should do what you want" thing.

I have thought of myself as crazy Weeds lady recently. Well, not exactly in that term. But it's all my Tumblr is lately. People are going to forget I like other things!

Thank you! I'm glad it was in character/amusing. It's not really my thing, either, so I was kind of surprised that I started writing it. But I suppose this is in the category of 'prompt/situation I hadn't thought about spurring me to write something,' so... well, I guess I still find it surprising that I wrote it, but on another level it makes sense to me that I'd go from "?" to "four thousand words of fic!"
