give me your tears, gypsy, or i will take them

1) I have only read two stories from sitcomathon thus far, but I would rec both of them. SO.

Ryan Howard is no longer a temp, a The Office fic featuring Ryan/Kelly and reality shows. Outside of the one featured in the show itself. Great character voices.

must see tv, the fic that was written for me and is so the prompt I was hoping would be written, omg. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia/The Office crossover which proves that honey_wheeler can write Sunny characters as well as she can TO characters. It's beyond awesome, quite frankly.

2) LJ, what up? I'm kinda irked by you lately. Not because of the things other people are writing petitions about (though some of those things you're doing are kinda lame), but because you keep erasing the customizations on my journals. Or sticking a page summary and a tag list where I have inserted code to remove them. Dude. Just cut it out. Please. This is all I ask of you.

3) Dear yuletide writer person,

To answer your first question, yes, I am obsessed with Mary-Louise Parker. (If you didn't notice that three of the four requests had to do with Ms. Parker, don't worry. I didn't notice until after I'd submitted the form. Then I said, man, you're obsessed with Mary-Louise Parker.) To answer any other questions... well, I don't know quite what to write here. This is my first time doing Yuletide, and thus, first time writing a letter like this. The draft I was writing in my head was way too specific in a plotline way, and I really don't want to try to strict up the rules on you, dear Santa. Just go nuts. I mean, not too nuts. Or else you'd be that Santa on that Tales from the Crypt episode, and he was truly no Santa at all.

Or was he?

He wasn't.

Anyway.

I like angst, I like bits of hope, I like when people just miss the mark of doing the right thing. I like when a story can be funny and sad at the same time. I like when people do bad things without being condemned as bad people. I like when people don't realize that they're making a mistake until the damage has been done. I like sex scenes that aren't needlessly vulgar or purple in their prose. And don't have "And then he put his penis inside her vagina. They came. It was good times." Don't be afraid of writing your story in second person POV. Plenty of people dislike it, but I really, really don't. I like it when characters are just beginning to fall in love. I like when they don't delude themselves that it'll fix everything. And then there's the things everyone wants, like decent spelling and grammar.

And that is pretty much it. I'll be happy with whatever you gift me. I hope my requests don't baffle you too much.

Gratefully yours,

Your yuletide recipient person
