Today I got up at 5:30 am so I could do a 6:00 am meeting... I couldn't connect reliably at home and it stressed me out! Fortunately Ryan was there to help. My own personal IT guy. :-) Right at 6, he got it working again and I launched the WebEx... Unfortunately the partner was unable to join and by 6:15 I was getting ticked off... I finally got him on the phone and he said they were "running behind" (EST) and could they start in 45 minutes? ~sigh~ So I went out and helped get the kids ready to go... All that stress to log into the meeting and it wasn't even going to start before 7:00 am...
So, the meeting went well - it's a big opportunity and if we win, I'll be very happy. My next meeting was postponed until the 25th. So I was free to get cleaned up and head to the office. I showered, got dressed, ate a bite...etc. Janelle snuck out, not knowing I was home... I ran out and caught her in her car. We talked a little. Trevor's mom is starting to deteriorate quickly. She can't really walk so Trevor has to lift her and put her in a wheelchair.. And her bones have cancer as well, so it hurts her to move... Her mental facilities are fading now... She doesn't hold thoughts long... She hallucinates a little... She babbles and sometimes can't finish sentences... She forgets what she's thinking about... Very sad. Janelle said she can't be sure, but she thinks it could be a matter of days to a couple of weeks at this point.
I got to work and had a couple more client meetings... Put some quotes together... A coworker went to L&L and asked if I wanted anything. Even though I brought lunch today, I couldn't resist so I ordered Kalua Pork w/rice. OMG it's so good. I'm such an addict. My packed lunch is in the fridge... It can last until tomorrow. :-)
On a kids note - Austin's picky eating is getting annoying. We tell him he gets no desert if he doesn't eat his food. Also, if he won't finish he has to stay at the table until bedtime... Or go straight to bed w/no books... Depending on the night, he will choose to go to bed! ~sigh~ It sucks if the kid doesn't mind the consequences! We had a great dinner last night too! Ribs w/BBQ sauce, risotto and steamed broccoli. he ate most of the ribs and about 3 kernels of risotto... None of the broccoli.
Austin can lie now too... He had a small toy car yesterday when "Gamma" picked him up... She asked him if it was his and he said yes, that he'd brought it from home. When I got to her house that evening to pick up the kids, he got the car out and put on his imp face and *proudly* told everyone how he'd tricked Gamma... That it was a toy from Ms... so-&-so's class... Ugh... We told him that was stealing and policemen don't like that... He could get in big trouble if the police found out so he was going to have to take it back to school the next day. Gamma said it "hurt her heart" that Austin would lie to her and she didn't like that.
My sister is sick... head cold of some sort. She's putting Presley in Daycare/pre-school soon. Next week I think. And then Cooper in daycare sometime soon after that. She's still waiting on an offer for a field sales job. I hope she gets it. It's hard not to be working. Tony goes back to work next week. (He just got back from his year in Afghanistan.)
I'm craving a real mocha... I didn't get one this morning. Ryan usually makes me one, but with all the chaos with my meeting and his needing to get both kids out the door, it didn't happen. I have a Culture Team meeting in a little over an hour... If I can get this last quote done, i'll try and get to Starbucks really quick before the meeting. :-)
