Busy as a bee

Whew, we've been busy.

Saturday we went to Leavenworth, sort of as an early Father's day trip.  There was  a huge German car cruise to raise money for a select charity (for some reason it is escaping me at the moment).  Anyway, there was to be over 600 cars joining this cruise which were supposed to meet at Bellevue CC and the head over on Hwy 2.  But  we said "Eff that".  We did NOT want to deal with the parking, the racing, the idiots, etc.  So, we went over nice and early with our friend Brian (both of us have Audis).  We had a delightful time there.  Perfect 75 degree weather, yummy German food and a nice walk along the river trail.  Just when we were thinking about heading out, the cruise cars finally started showing up.  So, to make hubby happy, we stayed a bit longer so he could drool and take pictures of cool cars.  Once we were on our way, we decided to take the long way home and drove to Yakima and then up over Chinook Pass (which has a ton of snow still).  It was a beautiful drive and a good day.  Of course, we stopped at a fruit stand and got some cherries and asparagus.  Yum yum.

Sunday was a bit more laid back.  I did make hubby a pie with the assistance of his daughter and we also made dinner for him.  I don't think he can complain one bit about his fathers day.

Work is really beginning to pick up.  This is a good thing.

I've been busy getting all my school stuff in order.  I've been accepted to South Seattle CC.  I've requested my transcript from Highline CC be transferred over there.  Then I will meet with an advisor, talk about classes and financing.  THEN I get to have a talk with the family about needing extra help around the house and their added support. Lets cross our fingers that I don't get too much hassle.  I don't think I will, i've been more than supportive to them.  Mommy's turn now.

My son had his 6th grade graduation yesterday.  It was a very cute program.  He even got the Presidents award for academic achievement.  The requirements for that were to have all 3's & 4's (B's and A's) all year round and to have passed ALL the WASL tests for 5th and 6th grade.  He so totally rocks!!  I'm so proud.  Except at the end of the ceremony I ran after him to tell him I would drive him to grandma's (while I finished out the day at work) and he told me he wanted to ride the bus home so he could say good bye to his bus driver.  Awe. That's my boy.

Well, I am going to wrap this up so I can GTFO of here.
