Today was a good day. Prepared a BBQ feast for my friends and got to see C* and A*, M* and L* daughters respectively. It's interesting when I have to set aside a separate time for married friends and for single friends. Change in priorities can do that.
After that, I went to an uncle's place, to attend the first meeting of this association for bisayans (the region where I'm from). It was fun. Good food, karaoke and lots of Cebuano blue jokes.
rancor4real wrote a post not too long ago about learning all he had to learn from Star Trek and Sun Tzu, which was a hilarious post btw. Anywho, I was looking through one of my uncle's old magazines which had the article below (I've rearranged the sequence):
All we need to know, we can learn from the story of Noah's Ark
1. Don't miss the boat.
2. Remember that we are all in the same boat.
3. Stay fit. When you are 100 years old, someone might ask you to do something big.
4. Build your future on high ground.
5. To survive, travel in pairs.
6. Speed isn't always an advantage. The snails were on board with the cheetahs.
7. When you're under stress, just float away.
8. Nothing is impossible. Remember that the ark was built by amateurs, the Titanic by professionals.
9. No matter how bad a storm gets, there's a rainbow waiting at the end if you're with God.
10. Again, don't miss the boat.
