My parents decided they wanted to have a graduation party for me. In a very typical move my Dad didn’t reveal any of the plans until the very last second. Not surprisingly this led to: most people getting their invitations after the RSVP date, none of my friends getting a written invitation, me not having any details to give to the friends I did invite, and three empty tables at the party. There were of course some good points. Tamara came up for the party and brought Donovan along with her. The food was good and the bar was open. Dan made the trip for the party. Lee and Chris kept talking like Thurston Howell, and it was really funny. All in all it was a pretty good time. After the party, Chris C, Vinny, Natalie, Tamara, and I went to Finnegan’s in Huntington.
Susan and I went to Block Island for our 2 year anniversary. We stayed at the Rose Farm Inn. Block Island continues to be a great place. The town consists of about 2 blocks of shops and restaurants. The best beach on the island is the public one in front of Ballard’s Inn. The reason it is the best beach is b/c the waitresses from Ballard’s will come out and take your order and bring you your food and drink. It was great calling Phil from the beach, in the middle of a work day, to tell him that the waitress had just brought me my mudslide. The hotel was fantastic, far enough from town that it was quite and peaceful, but close enough to walk. You should look into it if you decided to go to Block Island, we stayed in the Captain Rose House on the first floor. Go for the double whirlpool tub if you do… it’s totally worth it.
