The day I received a weird phone call

Around 11am I received a call (about 5 seconds since the person on the other line didn't answer) and a text saying "hello" from the same number. Naturally I didn't reply since I didn't recognize the number, and I wasn't gonna waste one peso on it.

Then at around 6pm today the person called, saying he was browsing his phone and chanced upon my number without a name attached to it. He said that since he meets a lot of new people often, he thought maybe I was someone he knew so he decided to call. I kept telling him I don't recognize his number either but he was persistent. He also asked where I was from and I was like, no I don't really want to divulge that information, just delete my number.

Somewhere in the middle or towards the end, I don't really remember, the conversation went something like:
Guy: Busy ba?
Me: Yes.
Guy: Are you at work?
Me: Yes.
Guy: Now?
Me: Yes.
Guy: So I caught you at a bad time?
Me: Uh-huh.
(I don't even know if that was the right order of questions)

Again I told him to just delete my number and he replied like he can't believe it, with something that sounded like an exasperated chuckle, "why???".

I ended the call. Good thing he didn't call again, though if he did I would not have answered.

Pretty strange, huh?
