1. You talk about your girlfriend sometimes, but I don't know much about her. How did the two of you meet?
My girlfriend is soliloquy! Her name is Jennifer and she is most AWESOMENESS! :D We actually "met" in this thread on the TMNT LJ community! Then we met up IRL at my first San Diego Comic Con (in July 2007). We had a blast and I really enjoyed spending time with my little Raphael-themed Lolita! :) That year at comic con, I was really pimping a local anime con, Sogencon, hard, so I convinced her to fly up here to Sioux Falls, SD from where she lived in Salt Lake City, UT to come to it. In the 3 months between Comic Con and Sogencon, we both talked a lot online and got to know each other much better. Eventually, Jenn did a "7 things about me" meme and said "I have a pretty sizable crush on somebody on my friend's list. I have not had a crush on anybody in over 2 years. *Blushes* No; I'm not going to confess who it is!" ... I cackled nervously to myself, and wondered if it was me. I had never been in love (with a real non-fictional person) before, so I finally just got up the courage to ask Jenn if she wanted to be my significant other. SHE SAID YES (well, DUH!) By October, when sogencon rolled around, we were a couple. :) We had a long distance relationship for about 6 months, then Jenn moved up here to be with me. She's awesome, and the best thing that's ever happened to me! (Yes, she's even more important to me than TMNT nowadays ;)
2. Do you have a favorite quote? (From anyone, not just famous people, or from books/movies whatever.) If so, why is it your favorite?
Damn, I have a LOT of favorite quotes. The 1st one that comes to mind today is "It's not God I dislike, it's his fanclub I can't stand." I like that one because I like the idea of God, and I do pray on regular basis (nothing formal, just like a "Hey god, thanks for the awesome day. Please help me have fun at work today.") but I don't like to talk about it or tell people because of all the bible-beating Jesus-freaks out there! They make it hard for us normal people. I'm not into organized religion either. Blech.
3. If you had one day with Michaelangelo (the ninja turtle, not the renaissance artist :D) and could go anywhere on Earth, where would you take him and what would you do?
Damn, only ONE day? ack! Can I take him to my bedroom and sex him up? *EG* If I'm not allowed to do that, then I'd prolly wanna go to an amusement park (but since this is my fantasy, I'd reserve the whole park just for me, him, and my few select friends) We'd ride the rides and also I'd want there to be a roller rink, go-carts, and bumper boats available. However, since it's Michaelangelo, the cool thing is he would make almost any activity fun. :D Although one thing I would want if I couldn't sex him up (or even if I could) would be an hour or so where I could just explore all of his anatomy (naughty bits AND everywhere else) just for the pure fascination factor! ;D
4. I know your major fandom is TMNT. What are some others? (Alternately, movies/books you've enjoyed if you haven't been moved to be part of the fandom for anything else.)
My major fandom IS Ninja Turtles! :) It always has been and always will be. The only other thing I'm a big fan of is the anime Kino No Tabi, or "Kino's Journey". I also am minor fan of a ton of other stuffs. I used to be a big fan of the Animorphs book series, but they started getting too out there towards the end of the series, so I kinda lost interest.
5. If you could be in any time period in any country on any social level, what would you be? (For example, a knight, a caveperson, an Elizabeth/Darcy-ish person like from Pride and Prejudice, whatever.)
Hmmm... Well, I kinda enjoy my own time period. I like the technologies available! :D But just for a day or two, I'd love to be a flapper back in the 1920s. Be part of the party scene back then. :)
