Poetry from and for Sean
Last night my beloved seanpatfannon gave me an incredible gift. I could hardly believe it, as, historically speaking, I'm the one writing poetry to others and most definitely NOT on the receiving end. That was changed by this amazing man. It was a thing of beauty. I did not think to ask if I could share it with my friends, so I shan't. I will, however, let you read the one I wrote for him if you wish.
A lonely voice calls for another
and is met with an echo uttered days before
A jest taken in earnest leads to
an amazing potential
A heart several times shattered
finally is made whole
as it begins to be filled
with a love unimaginable
The voices meet
The hearts meld
The bodies entwine
All in gloriously balanced harmony
That for which she never dared dream
has become hers at long last
And a lifetime of longing is
finally sated in his arms
