NEW YORK (AP) - An appeals court Tuesday revived part of a class-action lawsuit blaming McDonald's for making people fat, reinstating claims pertaining to deceptive advertising.

A three-judge panel of the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said a lower court judge erred when he dismissed parts of the lawsuit brought on behalf of two New York children.
The lawsuit alleges that tens of thousands of children have suffered obesity, diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol and other health problems after being misled about McDonald's products.

Misled. Mislead?
Ha, yeah right.
I can see the testimony now:

"But- but- but- I thought I was eating something GOOD for me. I didn't know that the burgers are unhealthy, fattening patties and I SURELY didn't know that the fries are DEEP FRIED in OIL. I thought the stuff that they dipped the fries into was a huge tub of HOT WATER. NEVER, EVER did I think it could be oil. And even if I did know it was oil, I didn't know oil was BAD FOR YOU."

It's the parents' fault for feeding their children Mcnasty food when they can see with their own eyes that it's making them gain weight.
TAKE RESPONSIBILITY, KAY.

In other news, as I was making the long run to the bus stop this morning, (it's dark, you know) when SUDDENLY, a dog starts barking loudly at me and I turn and see its shadow and it's all scary-like and big. So, instead of stopping at the first corner of my street and walking the rest of the way like I usually do, I keep running until the second corner. I finally stop to catch my breath and walk up to the bus stop. Just as I am approaching my bus stop the bus comes. Apparently, he's gone from coming way late every morning to coming way early. Because I was early.

In case you missed that, (since i am no storyteller) if it weren't for the dog that persuaded me to run longer than I usually do, I might have missed the bus.

So. Thank you, dog! BUT. Don't let it happen again. >|
