nursing is so NOT a young person thing. i know three women in their 50's who are getting nursing certs right now. not to mention- cheap because most community colleges offer cert programs.

computer science is nebulous. you don't have to be a programmer to get into the profession. i started as a tech writer and now i analyze requirements to drive software creation. no math!!! look into things like user experience design (UX) or information architecture (IA). i think your personality would lend more to something user facing as opposed to sitting at a desk writing code. i've been in software 10 years, so feel free to bounce questions off me :)

the only thing with nursing is a similar problem i encountered when i was pursuing my MSW. while you are very nurturing and would no doubt rock, i wonder what the personal toll on you would be. because part of your nurturing nature is that you care very deeply about helping people. which can end up in getting too involved with patients, and being wrecked when something bad happens. not that i know you intimately, but this seems like a possibility for you. something to think about.
