cleaning is good for the psyche... disposing of left-overs from old prescriptions; going through my main beauty supplies drawers - getting rid of what's past its shelf life and organizing what's left; moving all the most-used items to the top drawer, moving the less-used items to the 2nd and 3rd drawers; taking stock of the new supplies we bought, putting some in the bathroom and some in the cabinet for later use; cleaning the counters, mirrors, and tub; refilling the liquid soap dispensers. now if only it would stay this way! and why am i cleaning, you ask? clearly i am avoiding doing our taxes!
we used someone last year, and though he seemed to do a good job, he was a little iffy. (my friend who recommended him loves him, but we find him a little odd; nor did he inspire confidence by taking a call from his "friend who just got out of jail" towards the end of our appointment.) anyhow, we decided that i'd run through our taxes this year, and if i run into bumps in the road (none anticipated - things should be relatively simple), we'll turn them over to a professional. i've done them most years without incident. there have been only two years in which we've had them prepared by professionals; both times we felt the cost was too high for the amount of work done on our behalf.
