for some reason, when i do random tasks for ms. pruett, i often move about quite fast.  i'm never really in a hurry, i always have plenty of time, and even if i didn't get everything done, it wouldn't be an issue.  ms. pruett just appreciates the fact that she has an aide to help her with such tedious tasks that she doesn't want to have to do, so it really doesn't matter how fast i get them done.  anyway, in the midst of my frantic running around today during second block, i stopped in the yearbook room to throw away some posters i had just taken off the walls.  my normal entrance consists of flying the door open, and running my fingers along the inside of the door.  so, this time, i just conveniently forgot to move my fingers away from the door jam before it shut all the way.  needless to say, my fingertips were smashed.  my mom, being the crazy worrier that she is, made me go to the hospital... only to find out that they aren't broken.  they just gave me lots of pain medication, which i guess i'm cool with, and the doctor told me that i probably should give those two fingers a rest.  therefore, my typing is index-finger-pecking, and flute playing just isn't going to happen.  she actually wrote a note for me to give to mr. jack.  i don't know, i think i might still give it a shot.  unless, of course, it still hurts like the dickens tomorrow.

the first football game went pretty well.  i was impressed, with it being the first performance and all, though i do expect a lot of improvement.  it's nowhere near perfect.  i was happy with my ladies, though, they make me proud. :]

i went to florida on saturday, and we were there for about sixteen hours.  we left at around 9 in the morning, arrived at around 3.  just relaxed, went out to eat, watched a movie.  sam and i had the luxury of staying in our own little abode, since our uncle mark just bought a badass camper.  we were really enjoying our own space. it was extremely comfortable.  anyway, so we went to sleep at around 1, i'd say, after watching cloverfield (which, by the way, was totally lame).  so at  around 6, we wake up to my dad pounding on the side of the camper screaming "get up, we're heading north."
so, i'd just like to shout a big THANK YOU to hurricane gustav.  you're a pal!

jon, cory, zack, and i are in the process of organizing a ghost hunting trip that we've had in our minds for the past couple of months.  i think we're actually going to get it together.  an overnight camping trip, the four of us, and possibly mason and shanny.  on sunday, we're going to map out the places we want to go and figure out how much it's going to cost.  we're thinking during fall break, the weather will be nice.  i'm really excited about it, and i hope it works out.  i asked my mom about it tonight, and she was actually quite okay with it, her only concern was how much it would cost.  that, and, "WHAT ABOUT PANTHERS AND BEARS?!"
i think that if we can get it all together, it'll be a really grand, adventurous two days.
we spent over an hour in the parking lot this afternoon discussing it, and i'm just really pumped.

i wish i could see matt more often, i really do.  we're stuck in this horrible mess, because we're constantly wanting to be around each other, but it's never usually even an option.  i see him once a week for a couple hours if i'm lucky.
he's so precious.  i smile so much around him.
