No trip to the vet yet...
Charlie is clearly about to shed, which explains the slightly idiosyncratic behaviour of the last several days. I'm doing my best to add humidity to the tank (not easy in a glass tank with a mesh top) and keep her water dish full, and will leave her alone for a few days!
