David Tennant played Hamlet in Hamlet! What a beast.

Because I've watched David Tennant play the Doctor in Dr. Who, I couldn't take David playing Hamlet seriously. Nor could I understand him. Hamlets character in the movie stood out so much more than the Hamlet in the book, this being mostly the actors fault. I am not complaining at all, I thought it was funny David (Hamlet) didn't blend in with everybody else. He had so much more emotion and extremely exaggerated everything that he did and even said. His wide-eyedness combined with the Shakespeare lingo throughout the duration of the movie made it pretty laughable. I prefer this Hamlet much more to any other Hamlet, that also being because of Dr. Who.

As for the story part, I didn't really give a pumpernickel. It's Hamlet, a story constantly used in parodies and comedies and jokes. AND IT"S SO FERKING LONG, full of traditional English that makes me feel like an illiterate peasant asking the nearby British guards to point me in the direction of the nearest Pub so I can get a shot of Ale or something. I'm just not as English as some might want me to be.

If asked my little sister to fill in "To be, or not to ____", she'd successfully answer without any moments hesitation. Just saying.
