This weekend I worked on the kitchen crew for the PC Freshman Retreat. I went last year and made some of my closest friends (including Meg!), so I wanted to be a part of this for the new freshman class. I was so proud of myself: I didn't burn anyone or anything: not the food, not my arm, NOTHING! (I am really really bad at cooking usually, lol, not to mention a big klutz w/ no common sense!) The kitchen crew was a lot more fun than i had expected. I got to know the other four members of the crew really well, and we had a lot of fun, singing and dancing along with Rod Stewart, Journey, and 90s hits like New Kids on the Block! Also, making a batch of brownies TWELVE TIMES THE RECIPE was amazing. I ate brownie batter for the first time! My parents always told me I'd die if I ate the batter cuz the eggs, so I never did before. But it was so exhilarating! You'd think I was doing pot or something, right?, lol I'm such a bad girl.
So to everyone on the freshman retreat: here's a shoutout to you, now say it with me...
IF YOU DON'T GOT IT, DON'T TOUCH IT!
Anyways, so here is what's going on in my mind now...
-Yay for felicity Huffman from Desperate Housewives for winning the Emmy! I was hoping she'd win, cuz she's so good on the show. I'm not-so-secretly in love w/ the guy who plays her husband, cuz, i know it sounds creepy, but he looks a lot like my voice teacher in high school's husband, who was a very attractive man.
-Overheard yesterday in History class from Fr. "Off his rocker" Alexander: "Has the spector of my horsehead come to haunt any of you yet?"
-Meg and I continue to be in awe of Breaking Bonaduce. It's like watching a trainwreck. I seriously think future generations of like Psych 101 students could analyze this show and get some amazing material!
-Cool new word I learned in civ 2day; "rococo". It's the name of the art period between Baroque and Neoclassical.
-Hopefully I will soon be a marketing major. I hope it works out! I'm so excited! It's finally something I totally love, even more than journalism.
- My boyfriend is seriously turning into brodeur. I'm not even exaggerating this time: he's on a boat 2day analyzing like mating habits of clams or something like that. My friends from home tell me that this is a psychological condition i really need to figure out: my brodeur obsession!
