The last few posts as mg_mark begin...

So over the next week or so I am going to be posting entries all about this journal and various things. Ranging from defining momments in my personality to some of my funniest posts and such. Today is one all about conventions and my reports of them.

Before I go on, remember my new journal is princess_mark and this one will be deleted just before my USA trip, ( Read more... )

Oops, forgot to comment on the last entry! Naturally I remember the rather awesome Basara costume by the way!

I've friended your new LJ so we shall continue the mutual snippets of each other's dorkyness ('dorkatry'?). I'll let you know however that I'm not generally in favour of bridge-burning, slate-cleaning, or anything like deleting journals/entries, severing ties, deleting contacts or deliberately starting afresh. To me we're always developing organically, and personally I'd be terrified of removing everything about me in the past to start over again, and turning out the same because I had no reminder of what I was like - erasing history just ain't on! I know journal title aren't possible unless you have a paid account so that's not really an option, but I don't see how side-stepping on the internet is necessary.

Anyhoo, there you are! I don't know you well enough to have ever commented on the several anonymous memes in the recent past, though I feel I owe it to be quite frank about the above. Finally, a request: would you consider using the spell checker occasionally in your new LJ? I know it's a pain, but I always shock myself with how badly I rely upon it - it took months to drill 'apparently' as the correct version into my head! Let's learning!

See you at Aya? I'll be selling the pronz, surprise surprise.

Thats fine everybody is welcome to their view of the world. I personaly have no problem with a bit of bridge burning with good reason (just not emo whinging) I still remember my past so to me its not like I am removing it. I have saved all my important entries over the last few years, so at least I will always have them.

As for the spelling, it is something I will try to do so, while I dont consider spelling that important I respect the fact I should really learn ^^

Lets Learning desu!

See me at Ame?

I think Hachispacky put it rather well - as a teenager when posting on gaming boards, etc, he sometimes had opinions that he regrets, but he always tried to express himself clearly to make sure he was taken seriously, and I can see the benefit of that. Spelling's not that important if you've got a checker, agreed, but I really think it's important to be literate in your first language where possible.

But you shouldn't listen to me, because I'm an amazing retard. AmeCon it is!
