Looking for story with reprimand - FOUND!
I’m looking for a story where Napoleon and Illya have a disagreement regarding (I think) something to do with policy. Waverly may be involved, but allowing Napoleon to handle it himself, or, Napoleon is (temporarily) in charge.
Anyway, things come to a head and Napoleon puts a formal reprimand in Illya’s file. It’s a blow, but it was the right thing (for the CEA) to do.
It’s Gen I think, and I also think it may have been written by a man? rather than a woman/fan girl.
Help! I hate it when I can’t find this stuff!
I just remember another part of this story: Illya was injured somehow and stuck in Medical for a while. Napoleon brought him a gift (after the reprimand, I think) of colored pencils or some other art medium. Illya would draw to keep busy, and I seem to remember he drew The Pursang; he’d keep it hidden from his partner, but show anyone else (including other agents) what he was doing. I think he looked at the drawing as an intellectual challenge to his memory of the details.
Maybe this will sound familiar to someone?
