Colditz: "Guests" and "French Leave"

Simon takes a back seat in the next few episodes, so I'm not going to go into any of them in detail. However there are a few screencaps I want to share...

Firstly, Simon disguised as a French orderly in "Guests":

And now for "French Leave".

Colditz has a choir, and Simon is in it. Nice to see he has hobbies other than chess, escaping, baiting Major Mohn and getting banged up in solitary!

Now the pastor of the local church has a problem. He has a church, a church organ, and an organist, but no choir. (All the fit young members of his congregation have been sent to the front.) He'd like to "borrow" the prisoners' choir for a special Easter service.

After getting Preston to promise that none of his men will attempt to escape from the choir outing, the Kommandant reluctantly agrees.

Of course there is an escape - this guy in the foreground. He's a stereotypically sleazy "latin lover" and not one of our regulars, so meh.

And our guys, of course, steal everything that isn't nailed down during the first rehearsal. Here's Simon contributing a German lavatory chain to the loot.

There are some great Simon moments in these episodes, and some lovely interaction between the characters, but I do wish they'd get back to putting our characters front and centre in the stories!
