i hit the post button and an alert came up, restore from saved draft?
i couldn't quite remember what i wrote about before so i clicked on the yes button. it was a post i never got round to finishing. it was about this nice bloke that when i didn't give way to him on the road, started to chase me, high beam me (in bright daylight mind you, not very bright of him i must say, yes pun intended) curse at me and showed me all sorts of unique hand signals.
not only was i completely in the right of way, i had zero incentive whatsoever to give way to a chao kuan driver that races ahead on the empty left lane that has been closed off for road works then want to cut in at the last minute while everyone else has already filtered into the slow and congested lane.
so yeah, i gave as good as i got. i know my curse words and unique hand signals too.
but i digress. though funnily enough, this post is also about road works and another chao kuan driver. yes sir, you in the gold hyundai sonata. your one moment of inconsideration caused a whole series of chain events.
you cut in at the last minute, the car in the lane you getting to has to brake hard, the car behind him brakes hard, blah, blah, blah, the car in front of me brakes hard, i brake hard and manage to stop in time... and then more brakes, a screeching sound and bam. the cab behind was too fast or too close or both. or maybe it was the cab behind him because boy did his front end look crumpled. the impact rolled my car forward and hit the car in front of me.
everything happened so quickly yet it felt like it was in slow motion as i heard the screeching sound, felt the impact and watched as my sunglasses did a funny jump off my nose.
to cut a long story short, the car is now at the workshop, i have a rental for now (i always say my dad's champagne gold nissan sunny is so ah pek, now i'm driving one), insurance should cover everything because i wasn't in the wrong.
yes sir, you in the gold sonata. you may not think it is your fault. but it is. you caused a four car pile up. inconvenience for two of us, a temporary loss of their livelihoods for two and yet another freaking jam on the pie.
i miss my car already :(
