Morning has broken and so has the wind....
I went to bed at 10:00pm est last night. That's not normally early for me with the exception of the last few weeks. (Friday night I was up til 5:30am visiting). I feel odd this morning. Not bad but odd. Maybe it's the recovery of lost sleep, but I want to go out and do things today. We are a bit low on funds (3.58 to my name) So we will probably spend a good deal of time in today though.
For those of you who do not know, I have the greatest wife in the entire world. This being said, I should qualify this for all you would be wife steelers out there. ;-) childofearth is the perfect wife for me. She matches me spiritually and mentally. She is patient enough to deal with me and open minded enough to consider my rantings and ideas as more than just "me being crazy". She know the things I like and dislike and works to make them reality. With each day I love her a tiny bit more and know her a little bit better. We work hard on understanding each other and try to have compromises in the areas we are different. It is a wonderful thing. I am just posting this because I am currently thinking it; no other reason.
I made breakfast today. I normally have quite an easy time in the kitchen making anything that I am requested to make, from bechamel or brown sauce to Souffles to meat, veggies and potatoes, but this morning it was very difficult. I am not sure what was going on but the food gods were definitely against me. Pancakes, Hash browns and eggs. NOt a hard breakfast to whip up for a former Waffle House grill guy, but today for some reason, I was lucky to get them to come out edible much less tasty.
I also cleaned up the kitchen. It was a disaster. When you have NO money you generally end up either starving or cooking something from scratch. Since I am not keen on the latter, we cook from scratch. All the pans and plates were dirty. I am now on my second dishwasher load of the day. Almost done.
I might start working with the silver maple log I have set aside for my vase stand project. Never milled my own wood before. It has been drying for some time now. Should be interesting.
