SPN questions
For spn_fridayfive (I missed last week's since I was gone)
1. Did you really start watching for the plot?
Yes and no? LOL I originally caught the tail end of the original Pilot because it sounded like an interesting show and I knew Jensen from Smallville. But I saw the blood and fire and I was like, ugh gross. Then in December, I had two friends, siberian_skys and staranis send me Wincest and insisting I would like it, and when I did like the fics (though the whole incest thing still squicked me then) I decided to tune in. And I caught up on the eps very fast because it was great. So while I started watching due to fanfic, I did watch for the plot. :-)
2. If the show focused on two sisters instead of two brothers, would you still watch it?
It would depend on if the snark was there still and the same kind of family issues and if the actresses had chemistry. As siberian_skys points out all the time, I don't like horror, so why do I watch? Well, I don't like horror or blood and gore, but if there's a cast that meshes well and the writing's great, I'll still tune in (such as SPN or NCIS). So it would all hinge on if I found that in a two-female show.
3. In what other ways do you think the demon can be killed?
Well, I would have assumed some elaborate exorcism, but if he's not really trapped by signs and symbols, frankly, I have no clue. Which is why I'm not a ghost buster or a priest.
4. How well do you think Kripke manages to balance out the scary/action/angst/humor in this series? And what do you think of how he manages to get the viewers to see things from the other perspective?
I think he does a great balance or (see above) I wouldn't watch it. As to the second question, I think he does a great job with that. I also don't think he always succeeds because some people are just so set on their one character. But then, it's their loss. *shrugs*
5. Who is your favourite guest star so far? And why?
I would have to say William B. Davis (Scarecrow mayor). Maybe there's other guest stars who are better (I don't consider JDM a guest star), but to me...it's Cancer Man. What else needs to be said?
