Heroes and Studio 60

Sep 25, 2006 20:57

Whoa. Heroes. MAN. Breathtaking. I love the story, the evolution, the different characters and storylines. There was the classic hand-garbage disposal scene. LOL It was kind of gross though. But at least her hand got better...

And I love Mio in this. Hated Milo as Jess on Gilmore Girls. But I already am in love with him as Peter on Heroes. Not to mention him and his brother Nate? Dude. There could so be some cliche gay superhero mansexin' going on--with the added aspect of incest. Oh, God. *whimpers* *waves to the master of Hades because she knows she WILL be going there*

And the topper? The Japanese band lip-synching to Backstreet Boys. LMFAO

Studio 60

Matt: "Was she calling us Hollywood liberals or gay?"

Danny: "Pretty tough distinction."

Ok, the gay lines are RAMPANT on Studio 60.

And the Danny drug thing is slightly reminiscent of Leo and his alcohol/drug addiction. Minus the whole...Congress thing. I still find it interesting that they went with that. I have to wonder if Sorkin likes to allude and/or make fun of his own past problems.

Matt walks into his new office and there's this giant clock that counts backward from 7 (as in how many days till the new show). Matt stares and says no wonder he went crazy (meaning Wes). Great scene. It would drive me batty, as well.

I do not understand the issue Harriet has with Matt and now Jeanie. She and Matt are over. Good Lord she's acting like a 16-yr-old girl.

"This show decides what's cool and I just decided that looking like junior high schoolers is not cool." So says Matt to the cast and crew who are wearing beanies and like, flannel shirts.

I love that the title and days are done exactly as West Wing. It was always easy to read and see. And there's a few Sorkin lines. "For the love of God and all that is holy!" That was something Josh said once or twice. Hee.

Ok, Harriet cracking a fake bottle over Jeanie's head was great.

I love their song skit!! Modern Major General. Ah, Pinafore. Only it was Model of a Modern Network TV Show.

And now I get the Harriet/Matt thing. They're in love and angsting. Oy.

My Thoughts:

So it was great tonight. I loved both shows and Studio 60 really paid off. The slowest bits in my opinion are the Matt/Harriet ones. They're the only ones I don't find all that funny or productive in advancing the plotline. I'm sure others thing different, though. But I think everyone should tune in to both shows.

ETA: TWINS ARE GOING TO THE PLAYOFFS, BABY!!
