Catching up on TV

Oct 10, 2013 15:53

I've had a slow start to TV this fall. WHile I am not getting my own work done, I'm still somehow too busy to actually watch TV. IDK. But the last few days I've caught up on a few. Nothing real in depth, but some general thoughts. Spoilers!

Haha, last week's ep was...interesting. I also had an out of body situation for it that made it weird as hell for me (I know one of the actors). But I loved Joan and Sherlock in it and the emotional scenes were great.

Ugh, yes, everything you said. Dean is so messed up in the head, I can't even. He's worse than the parent who loses a child. You know the cliche phrase "a parent should never have to bury their child" - but some of them do and they still go on. Dean's comment last week (well, really it was Ezekiel's but still) made it sound like Dean would kill himself if Sam died.

Hah, I forgot about the counselor. This show, sometimes. Do you watch Sleepy Hollow at all? At NYCC yesterday, they made a statement about wanting diversity and how often, main characters are all white and so when individual roles are being cast, that's when they start thinking about diversity and thus the POCs always die. It's not really on purpose. They have diversity in their main cast, though, so they can cast and kill as many white people as they want. It was both stirring (that hey, people think about diversity) and kind of funny (kill all the white people!).
