This Week's Torchwood

Hoorah!! An ep that I didn't mind! Now to do this without giving away spoilers...

Good things:

• The plot.
• The...old fashioned Mulder and ScullyTorchwood. No, seriously, that's what I thought.
• The guest star. Unlike last week, there wasn't overacting!!
• The emotions felt real from everyone. I didn't even mind Gwen or Owen this week.
• A certain slashy kiss.
• The very sweet kisses exchanged by two others.

Bad things:

• The set up for that slashy kiss. It just kind of came out of nowhere.

• The rather predictable aspects of the plot (like how you know whatever is going to happen will be happening now and not in x years from now). However, good for the writers giving a little backplot to the story which led to very cute, though predictablyinevitably doomed relationship.

• The last conversation between Tosh and Tommy. It was a little too scripted.

So yeah, more good than bad this week.

Although, I'm afraid next week looks kind of crappy again.

Also, will someone tell me why Jack always wears suspenders? I mean, it just seems a weird style since he's from the future.

One more thing...the idea of cryogenics from way back then seems ridiculous. Jack mentions it, and I was making some comment at the time so I missed it. How is it they've been around so long? O__o.
