So I'm back at school, things were running smoothly no flares minor symptoms of my crohn's showing up... Spring break rolls around, went back to work, and then daylight savings time happened and messed everything up... its kinda hard to explain till you've experienced it, but messing up my wake and sleep cycle messes me up more than the average person. even right now 2 weeks later and i'm still feeling it.
Most of my classes are ok. I'm back in band. Psychology has been good as well as BHL 2... Vocal skills is meh, I have to take it but not fond of it. Rhetoric is probably my most dreaded class, it really does stress me out. I find that the way the prof teaches is too fast and too much at once... and granted I haven't been in school for 2 years, but writing topics really don't click that often in my mind... let alone 3+ page papers are hard to write... I mean sure I am quick and to the point, and thats how I always have wrote my stuff. I also was being stupid in high school for chickening out and taking journalism instead of composition class.. :\
Today the said prof has mailed a complaint letter to my advisor, the band director... I hope that I don't get banned from wednesday's event... I really wanna play with everybody and play in front of my home congregation... But a lot of the issues have been with my medical stuff, to be honest I have a mile's long list of things that are wrong with me, most of them caused by stress... Lately that stress has been affecting my scars inside, and to be honest, I have lost a great deal of my appetite in the last few weeks, and lost a few pounds because of it... I have a feeling that some of the ulcers inside might be reacting to all the pressure lately... another thing is that I did say after emailing the prof that I would get it in the next day, but something usually happened to me... And sitting here this weekend with enough missed work to get done trying to get my mind to work is a difficult task... But its not like I'm a totally disabled person... if my guts aren't working the rest of my body doesn't have the fuel to work properly...
So sometime this week I need to get in and talk to the acedemic dean about setting up my 504, sure half of the semester is over, but I wasn't expecting my crohn's to flare over break... and the thing is that with crohn's, its not like a cold where it will be gone with in a week. flares can last longer for weeks and possibly months... it has that uncanny quirk... but the good thing is that it has been almost a year since my last flare. I also had surgery this summer so I guess my body was busy with healing to care about immunity...
I'm glad that the deep freeze that we have been in this winter has been thawing now... but like I said before I'm just a bit more sensitive to weather and other changes...
Well I've had enough time of ranting... Now hopefully I'll get the most of it done... and rest up for working tomorrow...
stress,
school,
ranting
