I'm a little confused.
While I think the fees are a bit high in some cases, why are people so bitchy about overdraft fees at banks? Make sure you have money before you try and take it out of your bank account. If you don't have it then deal with the consequences. I've had overdraft fees in the past, and while I think they should be a bit more equal to the amount you go over *$30+ for an overdraft of $.50 is a bit much* it wasn't that big a deal in the long run. I just have to be careful about spending.
