The Black Dahlia

Sooo The Black Dahlia movie is coming out this weekend. I thought it was just another dumb Hollywood movie...which it still may very well be...but it's based on a true story. It was an article in the Red Eye Tribune today as well as other grotesque murders that have been made famous because they were never solved ( Read more... )

I actually watched a special about this the other night. It's funny that you have a curiosity about it b/c so do I. I realllllly wanna see the movie. The special was about a man who thinks his father is the one who murdered her. He found pictures of her that his father had and had NEVER been released before. It was all VERY convincing. They even made objective points, but I really think I would believe that this guy did it.

I know you love Marilyn Monroe as much as I do...isn't that cool that they were together?

I was wondering what the movie was about... the posters kinda freaked me out with the blood on the lips kinda thing. Since I hardly ever watch TV, though, I usually don't even know what movies are out much less what they're about. Maybe you SHOULD see the movie so that you can stop thinking about it... otherwise you'll keep turning it over and over in your mind. Chances are, they've put some kind of Hollywood Ending onto it and you'll at least have some closure about it -- even if it's fictitious closure.

That was ONE of the many ways she was mutilated...her face was cut to have a clown like smile that literally went from ear to ear. She was famous for her smile...SO disturbing. Yeah, I may wind up seeing it anyway.

On second thought, after looking at the website,... maybe you SHOULDN'T go see the movie. I can't imagine getting any happier thoughts about the situation. That's just completely gross and I hope that the woman was dead long before any of the mutilation began. What a S I C K person did that!!! Beyond words!

I looked at this site, and I thought I was gonna throw up, yo!!! To think someone could actually do that to someone with a BUTCHER KNIFE is just plain disturbing...and gross!

Did you see the close up where her eyes are still open...THAT'S what's going to give me nightmares! Sorry for exposing you to gruesomeness. I can understand killing someone in a fit of rage...I almost did it...but I can't imagine doing what that person did to her...

I REALLY want to see this movie... though I will definitely have nightmares for months after. I've seen gory pictures of murder victims before, but this was perhaps one of the most horrible and grotesque murders in the history of the United States.
