Chronic City by Jonathan Lethem was my favourite. I was intoxicated with it the whole way through.

Tall Man: The Death of Doomadgee by Chloe Hooper is excellent non-fiction about the death in custody of a young Indigenous man on Palm Island (Queensland) and the police culture protecting its own in the wake of it. ( Read more... )
