This ad is so hilarious. I also find it really telling. I mean, maybe it's because I am not super-attached to the fight for LET'S ALL GET MARRIED but you know, I like observing it from a ways away and I'll root a bit and whatnot. I'm sure some really invested people would be more "this is terrible, ugh, they just don't stop with this crap!" about this ad. But I really think this ad is funny and telling in how funny it is -- they're so like, rocked back on their heels and digging into a different position where it's all like "well uh it would be fine if it was just about YOU but now you're trying to GET ME!!" This has been going on for a while and it's not like it's not dangerous, my understanding of Prop 8 is that this sort of tactic was successful for them. But it also seems more patently ridiculous after a while. Really? Gay marriage is coming for you? Really?
