His comments were dead on.
Funnt thing is that I usually find Moyers to be stuffy and biring; but he's right on these points.
As for the POTUS's compromise - I have NO problem with it at all. These organizations have nothing to balk at. I could care less about their objections. Get out of the business IMHO.
1 Churches are businesses - Why designate them separately.
1b - Until universal health care comes to be, I have no problem with there being rules regarding how these (rather seedy) businesses operate.
2 - The fact that the government cannot restrict the right of how person maintains their own body is pretty much fundamental. I don't think your religion should dictate my public policy.
3 - As a medical condition , religions cannot pick and choose what they think should or should not be covered. These organizations might want to get back to their supposed agenda of saving their flocks... My thought is that they need plenty of saving.
3b - Yes, that's right... Good Catholics have a long way to go when it comes to justifying their actions with the word of the deity. Want to hash that one out. I have a lot of experience in that one.
4 - That's what federal laws represent

6 - BULL... Freedom from religion IS under more attack than any of the goofy ideas that religion is under attack - How pathetic. Go ahead and pick that argument. It is weak.
7 - Contraception is available BECAUSE of the liberal efforts... Yawn.
Junior did more to centralize power to the POTUS than any POTUS in history. That this POTUS did nothing to roll that back is no surprise (actually he inadvertent did).

Like the birthers, death panels, Obama eating at a Chinese resturant? Bogus budget crisis that we all knew the resolution to before they even began, like getting head from an intern, like claiming that Democratic Reps benefit from insider stock deals and forgetting to mention how the Republican House Leader was doing the exact same thing?
It's politics - they are ALL made up controversies.
I say treat religions like any other business and regulate and tax them like any other business. Remove their subsidy (oh yes - they do get those now don't they) and let them engage in politics - they already do anyway. What a bunch of malarkey.
