At last those who were among the ten million viewers who weren't watching American Idol last night. Now you know why radical elements of the Democrat party are so intent on muzzling free speech, talk radio, and the honest exchange of ideas and information.
Bloggers and independent political commentators have known about this for over a year, but ABC finally picked up on it. ABC moderator George Stephanopoulos brought up the Bill Ayres/Barack Obama connection at the Clinton/Obama debate last night, and the wheels may be falling off the Barack Obama bandwagon, at least in respect to any national aspirations.
The Daily Kos crowd, and their fellow comrades, are livid, and people of their ilk are appearing increasingly bitter (if that's possible).
Their doomsday may be at hand, especially when they start questioning the journalistic credentials of people like George Stephanopoulos when they finally start asking substantive questions, then stomp their feet, and cry "Not fair! You can't bring that stuff up!"
The former Bill Clinton spokesman dared ask Mr. Obama about his link to former Weatherman terrorist Bill Ayres, a man who, along with his wife-to-be Bernardine Dohrn, was part of a group that bombed, police stations, the Pentagon, and other federal buildings in the 1970’s, has never showed remorse, and who has the unfortunate distinction of having said he wished they’d done more in The New York Times on September 11, 2001. Buildings were fried and people died.
As always, the leftists are repeating their “So what?” mantra, are maintaining this is old news (on what news programs?), and that Barry shouldn’t be responsible for someone he knew when he was eight years old (Tom Shales of The Washington Post gets the Pinnochio award for that - what a whopper!):

Lets’s see … maybe they can use the defense that William Ayres is just the wacky neighbor down the street where the Obamas purchased their $1.6 million mansion and accompanying lot at a discount and under suspicious circumstances from the Tony Rezkos … you know, the “wacky” Tony Rezko who was an Obama contributor and supporter and is currently on trial for corruption in Chicago?
According to Andrew C. McCarthy in National Review Online, It was at the Chicago home of Ayers and Dohrn that Obama, then an up-and-coming “community organizer,” had his political coming out party in 1995.

Apparently Hillary Clinton’s staff reads the blogs too. After Obama nervously and agitatedly dismissed the question as “that’s the kind of stuff I was talking about”, alluded to other “flimsy” relationships, and declared that “He’s not someone who I exchange ideas from (sic) on a regular basis, she brought up the fact that they both served on the Woods Fund, a philanthropic group through which they voted $35,000 to a pro-Palestinian group founded by Rashid Khalidi.
Khalidi is a man said to have ties to the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) when they were considered a terrorist organization. A professor at Columbia University in Chicago now, he was considered for a position at Princeton but according to the Daily Princetonian, Khalidi was “an individual who has a political agenda rather than a scholarly approach to history,” and no job offer was made.
His comeback sounded a little bitter to me too. “Your husband pardoned two Weathermen, you’re no better than me!” Or something like that. Oh, these poor super delegates! What are they to do?
Mr Obama’s career has been peppered with such relationships and his influences are clear from his own words in his own books. Unfortunately, his followers who faint and swoon at campaign rallies, the media who have felt “tingling” up their legs hearing him speak, have cast a blind eye and a deaf ear to all of these facts.
I loved Obama's reply to Charles Gibson's question of why he'd raise capital gains taxes when history shows tax revenues rise when tax rates are lowered. Talk about a deer in the headlights moment! Revenues might rise, he admitted, but "It depends on what's happening on Wall Street," or some nonsense like that.
Hey, he's a lawyer and former community organizer and hasn't a clue. Maybe his speechwriter will come up with some rationale, but we already know the reason why he wants to raise capital gain taxes, and I'll tell you now. It's only fair to raise taxes on the "rich", and that kind of rhetoric gets you the poverty vote. Unfortunately most of us are now invested in Wall Street one way or another, and the real intent is to level the playing field and control more and more of the fruits of our labor. That is the nature of the left.
As a good life-long Democrat and a concerned citizen, I will never stop my efforts to expose these people for what they are and explain how wacky my party has become in a loud and clear voice. We haven’t been Stalinized yet …at least outside the radical fringes of the Democrat Party and among people who don’t choose their friends by whether they agree with everything they say and believe, and aren't too intimidated to give an opinion.
Do you think another candidate is out of the question with two fatally-flawed candidates like these? Maybe Al Gore? Of course he’d refuse to debate Global Warming so I guess that’s out, although John McCain has apparently drunk the Kool Aid too. What a campaign!
