Most, yes. You are correct :) Thanks Amanda. I'll probably only lose like 1 or 2 gb then.. since there's stuff I hadn't added to iTunes or my iPod yet.

Be happy. I hope your computer doesn't die. :(

If you haven't called my mom yet you should too! At least to give her a try.

Thank you <3. I still had a couple of gb on my comp that weren't on my iPod, but it's mostly new music I wanted to try out/stuff I can get again, should my computer start working within the next couple days. I'm also going to lose some media files, but those also can be replaced. Some of the new documents, however.. :/ But nothing TOO important, I guess. Most of that's backed up.

I'll call your mom around 6, I didn't want to bother her at work or anything. Thanks Kim :D

Also, I don't know if this would help (at all), but I found links for the Windows XP Recovery Console while searching for help on problems similar to yours, so maybe give it a try? I dunno.

Hmm, I skimmed through it and I'll try it out when my brother finds the Windows CDs. I think that's what he was planning to do, but I'm not sure if he was going to do a repair, or reload. I'll ask him about the repair thing. Thanks for helping! <3 muchly.

I learned the hard way about not backing up music, too, after all my original Napster music got deleted (I also didn't have a CD writing thing at the time, either though). There's still a ton of songs I haven't been able to find and get back, and never will.

I think there are (unofficial) ways to get music off of your iPod (and onto your computer), but I don't know what they are, or how/if they work.

I don't know how to fix your commputer, sorry :( Even if I had some idea, it would be bad to try any of my ideas, since I just always break computers :P

:( that's so sad. Evil computers, they should never break.

Yeah, I can get most of the stuff off my iPod, which I guess I knew, but I was too busy freaking out to really think about it. Until people reminded me. But there are some files I hadn't added yet. :/ But the majority (which is all the good stuff anyway) I will be able to save.

Yay good musics! Some musics is better than no musics.

Our computers should be indestructable.

Do you have any accessories plugged in? ANy USB storage devices or the like when you try to reboot? Tur unplugging everything removing the battery, and then hold down the power button for 30 seconds to discharge the capacitors. Then, plug only the power cable back in and try to start it up.

Let me know hoe things turn out.

Thanks for your help :)

I had taken out all the USB devices, including my wireless card, when I was rebooting. But I tried the battery thing and it still didn't work :( Any other ideas?

Well, it has the little blue bar going for about two minutes or so.. and the fan gets louder and louder, and then the blue bar freezes too. I left it on after that for a couple more minutes, but it didn't really help.
