Fic Recommendation
I recently finished reading the fic " Desolation Angels" by gaelicspirit. I've read several of her other stories and I was not disappointed with this one.
It took me awhile to get into the story, which might be due to the fact that I kept falling asleep while reading the first couple of chapters, which is not the stories fault.
This fic starts shortly after the events of 'Faith' and so Dean is dealing with the feelings of angst that someone died to save him and that Layla was not saved and will eventually die. So, those underlying feelings are prominent throughout the story. Once the story gets going there is a lot of Dean pain and hurt and brotherly angst.
I really grew to love this story, although it took me a couple of chapters to really get into it, but I wholeheartedly recommend this one.
Now I am going to read a bunch of one-shot stories for a couple of days. And then dig back in to a longer one, most likely 'Heroes for Ghosts', again by gaelicspirit.
And if you are looking for some good short reads - as you may or may not know - I am a big Dean/Lisa fan and have loved all the good stories that some writers have put out there. One particular writer who I have enjoyed Dean/Lisa stories is klutzy_girl. Her most recent offering is Meeting Lisa's Family. She has had numerous short fics about this pairing and I have enjoyed every single one of them. So, if you want some lighthearted stories about Dean/Lisa, then look her up.
