uhh just to let you all know...i officially ...rock.
so i go to the junk yard, or as they preferred to be called the "auto salvage".
i called this morning to see if: a. they had a 175/65r14 size tire and a rim to fit my car and b. how much it would cost. the total for the place was 55$ for both the rim and tire.
i get there after school and the bastards tell me that they "dont have an aluminum rim for my tire and will have to order it" which would take 80$..for the rim alone. so im like..uhmm yeah thats dumb. so i leave. imean...80$ for a rim they had this morning..but now they dont. and they magically could get it tomarrow for me.
so i leave. on the way home i see another used auto parts place and last min pull in to see what they would have and if they would have a better price.
Dude: yeah we'd have something to fit it,a rim and tire would cost you 75$.
i called my dad to see what he said. he said "lets shop around" so i told the guy: i found a rim alone for 80$ and knew they were bullshitting me because im a girl. 75$ is too expensive for this crap.
dude: ok..uhmm how about 65$.
me: i'll take your business card and call you later with my decision.
so i call later, and was ready to pay the 65. they say they have the tire all ready for me and that i can pick it up.
i get there, and they say "well..we have anotehr rim /tire you can use. it has a few scratches if yo uwant to look at it but we'll give it to you for cheaper.
so i look at it, like they said. a few scratches..nothing im worried about im not about cosmetics for this car at least.
they bring it in and say ok, 65$. then i told them how they already told me i would get 65$ for the nicer rim and tire. and the guy (who i saw was looking at me [icky poo]) he was like..give it to her for 35$ the scratches make it that value.
so..yeah. i got a new tire and rim for 35$. basically..the cost of the tire alone.
MUAHHAHAH.
