My "duh" moment of the day
As I mentioned in my previous post, I saw Across the Universe this past weekend. I've been listening to the soundtrack a lot, and this morning "With a Little Help from My Friends" was stuck in my head. So I sing the first line to myself - What would you do if I sang out of tune? - and I think, "Hey, isn't that how The Wonder Years theme song starts?" Then I start singing the theme song to The Wonder Years and notice that the rest of the lyrics are the same as "With a Little Help from My Friends." This is when I finally realize that they are the same song. Jeez, how could I not know that. I used to watch The Wonder Years all the time when I was younger, and I really liked the theme song too. I feel pretty stupid right about now.
I decided to google the song because I couldn't remember who sang it. Answer - Joe Cocker. I didn't even know who Joe Cocker was until I saw Across the Universe because my mom started talking about his small part in it. She then told me that she and my dad went to one of his concerts for their first date. Interesting...
