So...I finished Breaking Dawn last night, and I uh, I'm kind of ashamed to say, I actually liked it. It was pretty much exactly what I expected. I think I mentioned this earlier, but reading the spoilers beforehand definitely helped because I was mentally prepared for some of the insane things to come. Plus, I'm used to the series now and all of ( Read more... )

You liked BD? Awesome! Once my serious 50 books goal is out of the way, I'm diving into a big pile of Crazy!Crack!Fic!

I barely ever watch TV anymore so I haven't heard much about the Olympics and am really amped about watching them. My faves are swimming, gymnastics, and track, and I can't wait to loaf around for a days watching that stuff!

I have a goal to read 52 books this year too, but they don't have to be serious ones. I do try to read a classic every month though. Once you reach your goal, read the Twilight books. Even though they are all long, I'm always able to read them super fast.

I will be avoiding the Olympics, but I hope you enjoy watching them!

I'm pushing for the Olympics in the evenings these next couple of weeks when I'm watching TV with my parents. Not so much because I'm interested in the spectacle, but because if I have to watch another episode of Law & Order, I will lose my fucking mind.

And I will share your Breaking Dawn shame. Like everything Stephenie Meyer, it was amazing for all the wrong reasons. The pillow biting, Renesmee, Vampire Bella, etc, have been the best LOLs I've had in a really long time.

I have never watched a full episode of Law & Order, but I have seen bits of pieces of episodes when my mom watches. And she watches that show a lot. In your situation, the Olympics sound like an excellent alternative.

Like everything Stephenie Meyer, it was amazing for all the wrong reasons.

This is the perfect way to describe the books. I completely agree with you. I'm cracking up again just thinking about the pillow biting and the names Renesmee and Nessie.

I'm glad that there is someone else who could care less about the Olympics. I feel like everyone is talking about them, but I really never saw the big deal...

And I agree about Breaking Dawn. I generally hated the other books (but I read them anyway...go figure), but I thought BD was much more enjoyable. It was actually...fun, comparatively.

Yay, another person who doesn't care either! Luckily, no one in my family seems interested, so I doubt anyone in my house will be watching. I guess I can kind of understand why people would get so exicited for the Olympics, but I think they're way overhyped.

Breaking Dawn was fun. I just went with all the crazy and was able to enjoy it. I don't understand why some of the fans are so upset with the book. In my opinion, all of the other books were pretty much the same.

I really want to see Pineapple Express. Don't bother seeing Step Brothers though, one of my friends saw it and said it was a waste of 8 bucks.
I watched the opening ceremonies of the Olympics today I kind of enjoy them but not really. Also it's cool because I half know two people that are on our Team. The guy that carried the flag for Canada rows at the same place as I do and we see each other from time to time and this guy I had a ton of classes with is also competing so it's kind of cool to see people you know I guess.

I saw Pineapple Express and it was really funny. You should definitely see that one. After that movie, I did sneak into Step Brothers. It had its funny parts, and it wasn't completely horrible, but it was pretty stupid. I'm glad that I didn't pay for that one.

That's so cool that you know two people! If I knew anyone competing, I would make sure to watch the events that they were participating in.
