I'll kill you in your sleep...I can do it and not leave any forensic evidence.

I attempted to make over my journal over the weekend. It's so simple, yet it took me forever to do. And I'm still not happy with the colors, but I'm sick of messing around with it.

I also read The Trial by Franz Kafka over the weekend. The thoughts running through my head while I was reading it: "What? What the fuck? I don't get it. Am I too stupid for this book? Maybe. Yes." Even though I didn't really get it, I still kind of liked it. I think this is a good description (from Wikipedia): "The Trial is both a chilling and blackly amusing tale that maintains a constant, relentless atmosphere of disorientation and quirkiness, right up to the surreal ending." In a way, I felt kind of guilty reading it because Kafka never finished writing it, and he wanted it destroyed. Oh well. I probably should have read The Metamorphosis instead.

Next I plan on reading Brideshead Revisited by Evelyn Waugh. I was going to start reading last night, but things didn't go as planned. I ended up playing Mario Kart with my sister for a long time. Then I went into the kitchen to watch Jon and Kate Plus 8 and make banana bread. As I opened the oven to stick in my pan, I noticed that my mom had left another pan/tray in the oven. I set my pan down on the counter so I could take out the other. Well, I guess I wasn't careful enough because my pan fell off the counter and the batter went all over the floor. Bye bye banana bread. It was a mess, and I was fucking pissed. It was such a waste, and I really wanted to eat banana bread. I was incredibly bummed. After that disaster, I watched The Mole, which cheered me up when one contestant said to another: "I'll kill you in your sleep...I can do it and not leave any forensic evidence." Heh, this is the type of thing that I used to say to my brother when we were younger and I was furious with him.

the mole, mario kart, banana bread, the trial
