I'm wearing a skirt today because it's supposed to be super hot out (even though I'll be stuck inside for the majority of the day). As I was walking in the parking lot, I glanced down at my legs. I am almost gasped out load and said, "Damn, they are so fucking white." I see my legs all the time (obviously), but I guess seeing them outside in actual sunlight really emphasized their whiteness. I'm hardly ever tan and am almost always pale, and I don't mind it. I just hope other people don't get grossed out by how white I am.
I actually got into work earlier than Trouble this morning. When he finally did get in, Ken (another guy who works in the office) walked over to his cubicle and said good morning. Then Ken paused and said, "Whoa, that's weird." Trouble said something like, "Kind of. It's not really weird because it's you, but if it was some other people, it would be weird." Then he mentioned that he had to change into his work clothes and his cubicle is his "dressing room." I almost burst out laughing. I guess Ken caught Trouble changing his clothes. I was trying to picture the scene going on on the other side of my cubicle. I don't think Trouble was naked, but I do wonder how undressed he was. I shouldn't picture it because it's gross. Heh.
I did some reading last night and finished Marley & Me by John Grogan. Like Water for Elephants, I was worried that it wouldn't live up to all the hype surrounding it. I did really like the book, but I still wonder how it became so popular. I'm guessing that many people related to it because they have had crazy pets and still loved and cared for them despite their faults. It was evident how much love Grogan had for Marley and his family. It was a sweet story, and I enjoyed getting to look into the lives of a normal, loving family. I knew the end would be sad, and I was worried because I was reading while other people were in the room. Only one tear managed to slip out, and I was able to stop the others from coming. It's not the greatest book ever, but I would still recommend it.
