I went out yesterday and walked around the district of Miraflores. Miraflores is known for being a district where a lot of tourists hang out. I know the district quite well since my high school was there and i spent 5 years hanging out there.
This time i just went to Larcomar and along the cliff.
This is Larcomar, which is an area where you can find all kinds of stores, restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and clubs, and a movie theater.
I came here because of the view you get of the Pacific ocean.

Then, I saw a guy in a parchute. So i decided to walk to the part of the cliff where they do this.
This hotel has this view and it is not the most expensive hotel in Lima.
Oh and so you can see why i was so obsessed with the Soccer World Cup. In Peru, soccer is like religion. Churches and places to play soccer are everywhere. There you have two little soccer fields a few metters apart.
Then, i started walking toward the place where they jump on parachutes and snap a picture an old fancy restaurant. It's called La Rosa Nautica (The Sea Rose).
The cool thing about his restaurant is that it is literally on the ocean. It's pretty cool.
On my walk to the parachute point, i spotted some surfers
and a guy meditating right on the edge the cliff.
...like, really on the edge.
A park named in the honor of my high school and it's founder, Saint Marcelino Champagnat
Parque Champagnat has this view.
I also saw the Evillena Rey birdge, where bungee jumping started in Lima (and Peru) and sadly, where many people went to kill themselves. That's why they put those things on the sides.
Same bridge.
Once i crossed the bridge, i was in El Parque del Amor (The Love Park). As corny as it sounds, you can foget about getting a spot to sit on Valentine's Day. Couples always go there to watch the ocean, hold hands, and hardcore make out. I mean, really, i saw at least two couples in desperate need of a room.
Then I saw Lima's gay center, haha. Now, before you actually think it is a gay center, i should tell you that it's not. That flag is the Inca flag. That's why people in Peru want the gay community to find another flag, lol.
Lima's tennis club was also in the area.
Then, I finally reached the parachute point.
This is a guy testing his parachute (i think). I personally like how this one came out a lot.
One of these guys had an iguana as a pet. I forgot to ask for his name.
I didn't feel like walking all the way to the lighthouse, so i just snapped a picture of it from that point. It came out pretty cool.
Then i took one last shot of the cliff and went home.
I want to go to downtown Lima (old Lima) and to Lima's chinatown to take moe pictures. The problem is that you cannot go to downtown Lima alone with a digital camera, lol. I'll be posting more pics, as soon as i find someone to come with me.
